Spokane, WA – February 2010
The Center for Personal Protection and Safety was recently selected from among a “national pool of incredibly talented and dedicated community partners” for the NASPA Campus Safety Knowledge Community Partner Award. The Partner Award is presented to an agency, company, or individual that is not part of a campus, but who has demonstrated exemplary efforts dedicated to improving campus safety and security. Selection for this award signifies a significant contribution in providing guidance on protocols prior to and following campus safety-related activities and incidents. The Center for Personal Protection and Safety was selected for its collaborative approach, use of best practices, and quality products and programs.
The Campus Safety Knowledge Community is a cooperative educational forum for all college and university administrators and paraprofessionals charged with meeting the physical safety and security needs of campus infrastructure, the emotional needs of the campus community, and other institutional needs, including the protection of image and promotion of business continuity. The Knowledge Community will recognize the Center for Personal Protection and Safety at the 2010 NASPA Annual Conference in Chicago, Illinois.
