CPPS Daily – Buddhists Chant World Peace Prayers at Borobudur Temple

WWW.CPPSSITE.COM – Dozens of Buddhists from Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia chanted prayers for world peace at Borobudur Temple. This includes kind prayers addressed to Palestinians who are fighting in the war against Israel.

The activity was held by the Indonesian Nyingma People’s Council (MUNI), Tantrayana sangha. The joint prayer activity was carried out for two days, May 20-21, 2024 at Aksobya Park, Borobudur Temple complex in order to welcome the Tri Suci Waisak 2568 BE.

Chairman of the Nyingma Monlam Chenmo Indonesia 2024 Committee, Lama Rama Santoso Liem, said that this activity was the second time held at Borobudur Temple. The plan, the joint prayer will be carried out regularly every year before the Tri Suci Vesak.

“This year we are holding Nyingma Monlam Chenmo again. We add puja at night and it is the first time it is done,” said Lama Rama when met on Monday (20/5/2024) night.

Buddhists believe that every puja performed will bring benevolent rewards and lead to world peace. Including maintaining harmony, harmony, and happiness in Indonesia and the world.

Lama Rama said, in the activity, Buddhists read parittas and aspirational prayers contained in Tantric scriptures. Which is the teaching of the Buddha and was retaught by Padmasambhava Buddha.

“The main purpose is to chant prayers for world peace and welfare, especially in Indonesia. Especially also to the Palestinian people who are still in a state of war,” he explained.
